Blocking dagger

Blade, Sidearm, Dagger, Dueling, Pirate, Civilian, Courtier

A large dagger with a blade typically 8-14" long, and an extended crossguard for parrying. These were found throughout Latinized Europe from the High medieval period and well into the Baroque. The dagger was used in conjunction with the sword to parry and bind attacking weapons.
